Buddha's  words  on  the  body

“There is one thing, monks, that, cultivated and regularly practiced leads to a deep sense of urgency....to the supreme peace....to mindfulness and clear comprehension.... to the attainment of right vision and knowledge....
to happiness here and now....to realizing deliverance by wisdom and the fruition of Holiness. It is mindfulness of the body.”

Anguttara Nikaya ( sutta I,21)

Mindfulness Meditation

Is based on the Buddhist teachings of Insight meditation (Vippassana). These teachings are universal and can be of great benefit to everyone. They help us uncover our innate wisdom and compassion, and develop skillful ways to work with difficulties, challenges, and opportunities.

Through Mindfulness we develop awareness of the present moment. We witness breath, sensations, thoughts, and feelings. We see how the mind creates constant patterns of tension between desire, dissatisfaction, pain and anger that fuel unhappiness. Our concentration sharpens and the mind becomes quiet and reflective. With this calmer mind, we gently open our hearts, relax the body and let the natural beauty and compassion guide us to gain insight into the true nature of our being. We awake to the abundant, rich and joyful nature of everyday life.

Rosen  work  &  mindfulness  meditation

The underlying principles of the Rosen method are similar to many aspects of Buddha's teachings. Present-centered awareness, right mindfulness and consciousness of breath, are all familiar practices to both Rosen and Buddhist practitioners. Both support the awakening process, the purification of mind and body and deep understanding of our condition. During the workshops students have the opportunity to experience the integration of Rosen Method and Mindfulness meditation.
